Munay-Ki: Ancient Rites for a Modern World

The Munay-Ki are the nine sacred Rites of the Inca and come from the Quechua word that means "I love you" or "Be as thou art." These Rites, common to many cultures and traditions, can be expressed in different forms and methods. The initiations, whether they be Greek, Mayan, Egyptian or Incan in nature, are gifted to and accepted by those prepared to become people of wisdom and power and stewards of the earth and all creation.

The Rites, as taught by The Four Winds Society, have been handed down for thousands of years, tracing their origins to the shamans who first entered America over the Baring Strait. These original Rite bearers were medicine men and women who were filled with the grace of Spirit. Through apprenticeship, prayer, meditation, and especially experience, they became the leaders, teachers and healers of their time. These Rites were first given to the ancients by Spirit, but are now passed on from teacher to student. Once a person receives them, they are free to gift them to others as they choose.

Many of us have received a calling from Spirit, and yearn to make a difference in the world we live in. When we approach the Rites and our initiation with sincerity, an open mind and an open heart, we’ll find that we’re not alone. We’ll find ourselves among like-minded people who endeavor to live lives of authenticity and courage. And we’ll find ourselves in the presence of spiritual beings, who will share with us their strength, knowledge and insight.

As we receive the Munay-Ki, our chakras become clear and glow bright with luminous energy, leading to the attainment of a rainbow body. Each of our chakras has a color, and when they’re shining brilliant, our energetic bodies emit the colors of the rainbow. When chakras are dimmed by pain and suffering, whether caused in this life or past lives, they may become stagnant, dull and heavy. The Munay-Ki assist us in transforming this energetic dis-eased body into a luminous one.

Once we acquire our rainbow bodies, and lift our plane of vibration, the spiritual beings approach us because they recognize us as one of them. When we join forces with these beings we have access to knowledge that can inform our DNA, giving it instructions on how to create a new body that will age, heal and experience life in a new way.

The combination of our luminous rainbow body and upgraded DNA, resulting from receiving the Rites, secures us in the process of becoming what the Inca call Homo Luminous. The nine rites are the summation of a process that we journey as we evolve from Homo Sapiens to Homo Luminous.

The Nine Rites are:

  • The Bands of Protection, which consist of energetic protections installed in your luminous energy field, or aura.

  • The Healers Rite, which connects you to a lineage of spiritual beings that come and assist you in your personal healing.

  • The Harmony Rite, bestows seven archetypes into your chakras.
These archetypes are transmitted into your chakras as seeds.

  • The Seer’s Rite, awakens your ability to perceive the invisible world.

  • The Daykeeper Rite, an energetic transmission that connects you to a lineage of shamans from the past.

  • The Wisdomkeeper Rite. Helps us step outside of time and taste infinity.

  • The Earthkeeper Rite, connects us to a lineage of archangels that are guardians of our galaxy.

  • The Starkeeper Rite, anchors us safely to the time after the great change that is said will occur on or around the year 2012.

  • The Co-Creator Rite, awakens the God-light within us to acquire stewardship for all of creation.

Munay-Ki or "Be as thou art" is a command, a plea and in the end a tremendous responsibility for each and every one of us. There is nothing more important or more difficult than to know who we are, accept who we are and to live who we are. Can we accept this challenge and be who we were born to be? The world needs authentic people to be true to themselves and be their true selves.
